My Blog and Ramblings :: Lead Testing Kit for Toys

I haven’t used the personal blog side of my site in a while. However, I felt that this was an important topic.

Thanks to Freebiechick over at SmartCanucks.ca, they have found an offer for a home testing kit for your children’s toys for lead content. It appears to be available to both Americans and Canadians, and it is a great idea if you are concerned about the possibility of lead in your children’s toys.

Included in the kit are the following items:

• Two Lead Check swabs
• Test verification sheet
• Reporting forms
• Directions
• Informational sheets

I have yet to order my kit quite yet, but according to the sites, the total cost of each kit is $3.00 which essentially shipping and handling. The link provided by SmartCanucks.ca here is a bit convoluted to get to, so this link will directly take you to the ‘Add to Cart’ page.
